Export Compliance Specialist (Remote)

Pay: $45-$55/hour (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to serve as a subject-matter expert across U.S. export controls and trade sanctions. This role supports and manages export compliance programs including ECCN and HTS classification, export licensing, sanctions screening, KYC due diligence, and global trade risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage export controls and sanctions compliance under EAR, ITAR, and OFAC
  • Classify products, software, and technology (ECCN, HTSUS, Schedule B)
  • Determine export licensing requirements and manage licenses via SNAP-R
  • Conduct KYC and end-use/end-user due diligence and restricted party screening
  • Prepare CCATS and CJ submissions and engage with U.S. regulatory agencies
  • Develop trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact globally (U.S., EU, Wassenaar)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of export compliance experience with strong EAR expertise
  • Hands-on experience with export licensing, sanctions screening, and trade compliance systems (Oracle GTM, Descartes, or similar)
